Manufacturing Technician
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for layering fibers and fabrics, applying epoxies and glues in and on molds and tools, and assembling and disassembling molds and tools. You will cut and measure fabrics and fibers, follow strict procedures and instructions, and ensure visual attention to detail throughout the process. The role also involves curing materials in ovens and storing them in refrigerators. You will utilize CNC machines and cut tables by operating computer systems and follow computer-based work instructions and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Layer fibers and fabrics, apply epoxies and glues in and on molds and tools.
- Assemble and disassemble molds and tools.
- Cut and measure fabrics and fibers accurately.
- Follow strict procedures and instructions with attention to detail.
- Cure materials in ovens and store them in refrigerators.
- Operate CNC machines and cut tables using computer systems.
- Follow computer-based work instructions and documentation.
Essential Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field involving attention to detail, following work instructions, fabricating, troubleshooting builds, using tools, and assembling products.
- Ability to operate computers efficiently.
- Adaptability to learn new procedures.
- Willingness to learn and improve.
- Experience with assembly, hand tools, work instructions, troubleshooting, fabrication, and computer operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with composite layup or prepreg.
- Experience operating CNC or table cutters.
- Experience operating ovens or autoclaves.
- Experience operating a sewing machine.
- Transferable skills from auto body work, sculpting, nail technology, or welding.

Work Environment:
The work environment includes clean room assembly and an open shop floor, with employees standing most of the day. Ovens and autoclaves are located in a separate room. The dress code is casual, but safety shoes and safety glasses are required. The first shift runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with plans to open a second shift from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
