Position Overview A private family is seeking a warm, reliable, and engaging
Weekend Companion
to spend time with an elderly lady residing at Belmont Village Senior Living in Carol Stream, Illinois. This is a true companion role focused on providing social engagement, emotional support, and assistance with outings and activities. The role does
not
involve hands-on medical care. The ideal candidate is kind, patient, and attentive, with a genuine interest in enriching the daily life of an older adult through conversation, shared activities, and companionship.
Responsibilities Provide companionship and social interaction in the care home and during outings Accompany the client on walks, recreational activities, appointments, or local excursions Engage in conversation, games, reading, and other stimulating activities Assist with light coordination during outings (transportation arrangements, schedules) Support the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the day Communicate updates or observations to the family as needed Work collaboratively and respectfully alongside care home staff Qualifications Prior experience as a companion, caregiver, or in a similar support role preferred Warm, patient, and dependable demeanor Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable accompanying an elderly individual on outings Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude Valid U.S. work authorization Valid Driver’s License
