Daedalian Foundation
The Development Director is a fiduciary & strategic fund raising role responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the organization's charitable foundation. This role oversees individual giving, major gifts, institutional support, campaigns, and donor stewardship, and works closely with executive leadership and the board. Oversees the professional investment management of resources and serves as the registered agent in the State of Texas, responsible to work in a team environment on daily operations, policy/procedure development, and additional duties as assigned by the Foundation Chairman. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy in conjunction with Foundation Trustee guidance that aligns with organizational goalsEstablish annual fundraising targets and monitor progressLead annual appeals, campaigns, and special fundraising initiatives
Individual & Major Gifts Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donorsCultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized engagementPartner with executive leadership and board members on donor relationships and solicitationsGrants & Institutional Giving Identify, pursue, and steward foundation and corporate funding opportunitiesOversee proposal development, reporting, and complianceBoard & Stakeholder EngagementSupport board fundraising efforts through training, tools, and strategic guidancePrepare fundraising reports and dashboards for leadership and board review Coordinates all grants and fundraising efforts including donor requests, estate planning and endowments. Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors
Cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through personalized engagement
Partner with executive leadership and board members on donor relationships and
solicitations Grants & Institutional Giving Identify, pursue, and steward foundation and corporate funding opportunitiesOversee proposal development, reporting, and compliance Board & Stakeholder Engagement
Support board fundraising efforts through training, tools, and strategic guidance
Prepare fundraising reports and dashboards for leadership and board review
Represent the organization with donors, partners, and community stakeholders Business Operations
Coordinates and works through the National Adjutant in collaboration with employees
in pursuit of mission accomplishment.
Works with the National Adjutant on budgeted transfers which supports programs & shared operational expenses. Presents the budget to the Board of Trustees and tracks progress quarterly.
Ensure accurate donor tracking and reporting (CRM required; Salesforce preferred)
Oversee donor acknowledgment and stewardship processes
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, programs, and communications
Oversees the Foundation assets & grow assets for program use thru normal fundraising
