Job Summary Lentz Eye Care, one of the premier optometric practices in the Wichita, Kansas area is seeking a primary care optometrist. Our three offices have served the Wichita and Newton, Kansas communities for over 40 years and were founded on and still believe in providing our patients comprehensive eye care using state-of-the-art technology in a clean, comfortable, customer service oriented environment. Our continued growth is a testament to the mission of the practice of working individually with each and every patient to provide eye health care tailored to meet their specific needs. Because of this growth we are currently looking to hire an associate optometrist. This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist who is interested in practicing optometry at its highest level.
Key Responsibilities The associate optometrist must be a forward thinking individual being able to use the advanced technology available in the practice to optimize the outcomes for the patients they examine. This includes: Routine vision care for patients of all ages Diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease Developing treatment plans for patients with dry eye Fitting contact lenses including specialty and scleral contact lenses Working with our opticians to prescribe digital ophthalmic lenses to maximize a patient's vision for all areas of their lives. Working in a team atmosphere, collaborating with fellow doctors and staff with clear and concise communications.
Qualifications Optometrist must have a license to practice in the state of Kansas and a current DEA license.
Compensation & Benefits $160,000-$170,000 base salary + production bonus Signing bonus $50,000 with commitment Group health insurance paid in full for employee Holiday, vacation and PTO totaling up to 23 days off per year 401K with a match Continuing education reimbursement DEA license reimbursement No weekend hours required.
