Description We are looking for an experienced hands-on Accounting Manager with manufacturing experience to join our team on a contract basis in Wethersfield, Connecticut. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and be ERP savvy. The ideal candidate will excel in managing month-end close tasks, reconciling accounts, and overseeing general ledger activities. This is a contract to hire opportunity for the right individual. Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for audits.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Handle accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
- Develop cash forecasting reports to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Create and review journal entries for accuracy and proper documentation.
- Collaborate with auditors to facilitate smooth audit procedures and respond to inquiries.
- Monitor inventory systems using MRP tools to ensure accurate reporting.
- Provide financial support and expertise for family office operations.
- Expertise in month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and audit processes.
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry creation.
- Familiarity with MRP inventory systems and their application in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage accounts receivable functions effectively.
