Pediatrix Medical Group is thrilled to invite applications for an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at a well-established practice within Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. With 30 years of excellence in delivering specialized neonatal care, you will join a team that provides outstanding healthcare focused on family-centered practices. The facility houses a Level-III NICU, the only one in the area, equipped for high-risk mothers and critically ill or premature infants.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive care in a Level-III NICU with 34 beds, an average daily census of 25, and approximately 3,500 annual deliveries.
- Collaborate within a multi-specialty team, including neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists.
- Support high-quality family-centered healthcare through effective teamwork with a variety of specialists.
- Manage transports from other regional hospitals, working with neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists.
- Work on a schedule consisting of both 8-hour and 24-hour shifts.
- Deliver care in a professional atmosphere supported by excellent nursing and ancillary services.
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing.
- NNP Board Certification required (no FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of current employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, excluding RN experience.
- Clean malpractice history preferred.
- Active Florida License or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
- Recent NPDB report (within the last 30 to 60 days) required.
