JOBSUMMARY:
Theresponsibilities of Human Resources Specialist position include, but are notlimited to, overseeing the payroll, timekeeping, staffing, and benefitfunctions, employee relations, progressive discipline, governmental complianceand representing the company for unemployment claims. Acts as liaison between facility andcorporate HR to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
JOB DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thisposition is the local subject matter expert on timekeeping, Employee SelfService, and applicant recruiting systems. Responsible for training otheremployees and maintaining integrity of these systems.
Ensuresconsistency in hiring process, and completes new hire orientation and paperworkfor the human resources function.
Mayscreen, interview, and extend offers to candidates.
InitiatesFMLA process through corporate HR when FMLA is requested. Monitors employeesout on FMLA leave of absence, and processes documentation and return to workstatus.
Processesemployee changes in status and ensures accurate pay and job information.
Guidesmanagers through the company’s progressive discipline process. Work withcorporate HR to provide appropriate direction and follow through.
ProvidesADP unemployment with information needed to respond to benefit claims. Represents the company at telephonic and inperson hearings as needed.
Fulfilsproduction of document requests as related to legal issues, investigations andother requests for personnel information.
Assistsas needed with internal investigations, including gathering statements anddocumentation to support employment actions.Act as liaison between facility and corporate HR with investigationsthat may result in corrective action or that may affect employment status.
Forwardsemployment verifications, wage information requests, and other third partyrequests to corporate HR inbox.
JOBREQUIREMENTS:
Education
A minimum 2-year college degreeor two years of college plus equivalent experience.
PHR strongly preferred.
Experience
Ideal candidates have a minimumof five (5) years HR Generalist experience with a strong background inelectronic systems such as ADP payroll, timekeeping, and applicanttracking systems.
Experience in a health caresetting preferred.
