IP Speech Pathologist - Rehab Therapy - Day Shift

Description :Additional Information About the Position for Qualified Candidates • Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus • Up to 80 hours of front-loaded Paid Time Off • Up to $3,000 Relocation bonus • Clinical Ladder up to $5,000 Please note: For this position, we are unable to accept Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), as the role requires independent practice and we are not able to provide the level of supervision required during the CFY. Job Summary Speech-language Pathologist will provide care to young adult thru geriatric populations in our Inpatient Rehabilitation unit and Skilled Nursing unit at MORH. Speech pathologists, thru assessment and treatment, assist patients to reach their highest level of function in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. Treatment plans are formulated and initiated for problems such as dysarthria, apraxia, articulation, language, cognition, swallowing disorders, or voice problems. Job Requirements Education • Required: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences Experience • Preferred: Prior one year hospital/health care related experience Skills • Good clinical expertise, human relations skills and organizational skills required. • Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required • Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques. • Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude Licensure/Certification/Registration • Required: License of Speech Therapy active in the state of Missouri, CCC or CFY candidate AND BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire Education: Required: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences Experience: Preferred: Prior one year hospital/health care related experience Skills: Good clinical expertise, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
