Overview: A well-established, independent wealth management firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join their growing team. The firm serves high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, foundations, and closely held investment partnerships, offering comprehensive and highly personalized solutions across investment management, estate planning, and family office services. Position Summary: Reporting to the Head of Tax, the Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing complex tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and related entities. This role requires strong technical expertise, client-facing experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, complex trusts, ESBTs, private foundations, and investment partnerships. Develop and analyze quarterly income tax projections incorporating multiple scenarios to advise clients on strategic planning opportunities. Conduct research on complex tax matters and present findings and recommendations. Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff on technical topics, client management, and project execution. Lead multiple sophisticated tax engagements simultaneously. Collaborate with the broader family office, legal, and investment teams to deliver holistic client solutions. Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred. 4+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or private wealth/family office environments. Strong technical knowledge of individual, trust, partnership, gift, GST, and private foundation taxation. Familiarity with alternative investments and taxation of financial instruments (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.). Proficient in GoSystem Tax RS (or similar), Microsoft Office, and leading tax research tools (RIA, BNA). Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
