Phlebotomist
Phlebotomist blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, record data, and decontamination. Updating patient information. Collects and stores specimens. Venipuncture blood drawing and or other specimen collection ex. urine/fecal. Demonstrate straight needles, butterfly needles technique. Understand lab orders, physicians' orders, blood work orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label centrifuge split. Freeze specimens as required by test order. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature places samples in appropriate collection container/tube accurately labels follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen. Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.

1+ year of phlebotomy experience in medical diagnostic lab setting or hospital laboratory medical lab draw experience. Proficient in venipunctures in lab or hospital lab setting. High School Diploma or GED.

This is a Contract position based out of The Villages, FL.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
