Position Summary:
We are seeking a Manager to lead our Portfolio Consultants, our Internal Sales team. Reporting to the Head of Distribution, the Manager will oversee the Sales desk, managing a team of portfolio consultants. This role is key to driving sales, enhancing client engagement, and aligning internal sales efforts with Grayscale’s broader distribution goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, a deep understanding of investment products, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coach the Portfolio Consultant team to meet sales targets; hire, onboard, and train new team members, promoting best practices in engagement and pipeline development.
Oversee daily desk operations, including call activity, client outreach, and message quality.
Coordinate with Market Leaders and the Head of Distribution to develop coverage strategies and optimize territory planning.
Ensure team activities align with broader distribution strategies, including product focus, advisor segmentation, and sales processes.
Review performance metrics regularly and lead weekly desk meetings to ensure accountability and transparency.
Gather client feedback and monitor competitive intelligence to inform product messaging and sales positioning.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and compliance teams to refine sales materials and support go-to-market initiatives.
Use CRM and reporting tools to monitor desk performance, analyze results, and guide coaching efforts.
Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and policies.
Prior Experience/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in Finance, Business, or related fields preferred.
7–12+ years of experience in asset or investment management, with a focus on internal sales, wholesaling, or advisor engagement.
Management or team leadership experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with digital assets, cryptocurrency markets, or blockchain-based investments is highly desirable.
Deep knowledge of investment products, sales processes, and the financial advisor landscape.
Ability to lead with data and improve performance through metrics and coaching.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (or ability to obtain quickly).
