As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout. Job Description: Provide technical and administrative support to ensure successful project execution Support the development, maintenance, and distribution of project estimates and bids Assist in developing and updating project schedules; communicate updates with subcontractors and Owners Contribute to the review, development, and issuance of subcontracts and change orders Develop working knowledge of cost book, financial management tools, and change order processes Understand and support compliance with Owner contracts and company quality standards Manage administrative tasks including RFIs, submittals, and pricing/change order tracking Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive resolution of project issues Identify project risks and assist in creating risk mitigation plans Promote safety by supporting the implementation of OSHA and the company's safety standards Mentor and develop project interns as part of team support Apply the company's Core Values throughout all phases of project support Support the estimating team in quantity takeoffs, pricing, and bid coordination. Learn and apply basic CSI Divisions, unit pricing, and estimating standards Interpret written scope of work narratives and build cost estimates based on said information. Work with subcontractor partners to cost out multiple design options. Assist in preparing the Scope of Work exhibits and participate in subcontractor buyout efforts Build foundational relationships with subcontractors and superintendents to support learning Observe field activities to strengthen construction knowledge and inform estimating input Practice time management and escalate issues or questions when guidance is needed Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field, 2+ years of experience in construction or project engineering Experience in Senior Living facilities projects.
