The
Project Leader 1 (Telecommunications)
is a leadership position responsible for supporting the overall strategy, execution of deliverables, project completion, and profitable outcomes for complex projects or multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires proficient knowledge of Telecommunication Systems including Fiber Optic & Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP & ISP Copper, along with DAS. The Project Leader will provide development, training, and leadership to junior project staff, field superintendents, and trades personnel, focusing on strategic planning, implementation, and project ownership. Responsibilities
Leading the design and deployment of integrated infrastructure and telecommunications systems. Establishing procedures and controls to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Supporting project documentation, layout, and field office setup. Managing subcontractors related to installation scope. Developing project schedules in MS Project. Conducting project kick-off and review meetings. Forecasting cash flow and manpower needs. Developing budgets with cost codes for manpower tracking. Researching submittals, change orders, and preparing estimates. Preparing design/build estimates based on criteria. Presenting proposals and estimates to clients. Explaining plans and contract terms to staff and clients. Coordinating with stakeholders to resolve work issues. Managing project materials and resources. Maintaining project profitability and ensuring timely completion. Completing all administrative and training requirements. Monitoring budgets for profitability and cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of experience in telecommunications and security systems construction, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Science, IT, Construction Management, or related field. 5+ years of related construction experience with a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. Proficiency in CPM scheduling and general contractor schedules. Experience leading diverse teams and managing projects valued between $500K-$10M+. At least 4+ years of experience in federal aviation, government airports, higher education, or transit projects. Knowledge of low-voltage construction functions and coordination efforts. Proficiency with software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office. Additional Requirements

Ability to work with extended computer screen time and sitting. Manual dexterity for manipulating objects and using a keyboard. Effective communication skills, both spoken and written. Ability to understand and apply general rules to specific problems.
