About the role As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, youll be responsible for developing and maintaining key features of our product, working across the full stack using JavaScript, Node.js, React, CSS, and MongoDB. Youll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build scalable and performant solutions, while mentoring junior team members and driving best practices in both front-end and back-end development. What you'll do: Develop and maintain core product features using JavaScript, Node.js, React, and MongoDB, while ensuring the quality and performance of the codebase. Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to understand requirements and help design solutions that meet business and technical needs. Write clean, maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices, and ensuring scalability and performance as you implement new features. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, from fixing bugs to optimizing system performance, contributing to the overall health of the platform. Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers and continuously improving the quality of the codebase. Continuously learn and grow, expanding your skills and expertise while taking on more complex tasks and contributing to team-wide initiatives. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents during on-call rotations, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery. What we expect from you: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). A Masters degree is a plus. 2+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering, with a product development focus. Hands-on experience with react, typescript, javascript, and full stack development is required. Experience contributing to the development and delivery of product features as part of a team. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to teammates and ask questions to clarify product requirements. Bay Area candidates preferred, or open to occasional travel as needed.
