We're a smaller general contractor (GC) that prioritizes building a high-performance team and strong relationships over simply filling roles. Role Summary: We’re hiring an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead tenant improvements and renovations ranging from $100K to several million dollars. Most of your work will be in San Francisco, with projects across Marin and the East Bay. This role is for a motivated leader who can take ownership and successfully deliver on time and within budget. You will be instrumental in shaping the direction of these projects while leading a dynamic team of professionals. Compensation: In addition to a strong base salary, you’ll be part of a profit-sharing plan that vests after one year. Your upside grows with the company. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage construction projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Oversee material procurement, logistics, and quality control. Handle estimating, scope reviews, and drawing reviews in pre-con, ensuring you catch issues before construction begins. Build and lead effective and high-performing teams across multiple projects at once. What To Bring: 4+ years in commercial construction project management (TI experience is preferred). Strong field understanding of the construction process from start to finish. Proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and team members. A thorough understanding of construction financials, including subcontracts, CORs, SOV management, as well as G702 invoicing. Experience with pre-construction processes, including the ability to read drawings and identify scope issues early. Seniority level
