ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM: The Knot Worldwide is looking for a highly motivated, full-stack Senior Software Engineer with a passion for delivering value to the business, while helping ensure engineering best practices are adopted and followed. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise and mentorship to the team - working on complex and challenging problems that affect a huge body of our users on a daily basis alongside other driven and talented engineers. As a member of the TK Journey squad, you will work on our logged in Homepage dashboard for couples, as well as other tools like our checklist, onboarding and account settings, to ensure they get connected properly to all parts of our wedding planning ecosystem. As a Senior Software Engineer, youll work to maintain, measure, and evolve all of these applications. Youll also evaluate and evolve the underlying engineering systems that support these applications and work with design, data, product, copywriting, marketing, and other business stakeholders to evolve our entire offering for couples. SUCCESSFUL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER CANDIDATES HAVE: 5+ years overall engineering experience. Proven real-world experience using React, NextJS and Node.js at scale. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining web APIs (REST, GraphQL). Experience developing, deploying, and monitoring Docker containers in Kubernetes. Experience with continuous integration and automated testing for web applications. Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS. An internal motivation to continuously improve and evolve systems. A strong desire to build amazing consumer experiences. A passion for learning and mentoring others. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leverage skills and experience to implement product features that are well architected, tested, and documented. Actively participate in the ideation and execution of product roadmap and agile planning. Follow and advocate for best practices surrounding test-driven development, continuous integration, code standards, etc. Iterative platform development, including troubleshooting and performance optimization. Work independently and as a senior member of a cross-disciplinary feature squad. BONUS QUALITIES: You have experience with animation libraries (ex. Framer Motion, React Spring) You have experience building APIs with NestJS WORK MODEL: This role is Together@TKWW-eligible and based in our New York office. Starting September 15, 2025, youll be expected to work in the office two days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
