- Use modeling tools to establish a technology roadmap for panel process and design. - Use modeling tools to drive Inkjet Printer manufacturers for next-generation tool design. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to link display roadmap, equipment, and process roadmap. - Establish requirements in terms of thin film mechanical behavior, optical behavior, and moisture ingress. - Quantify physical, optical, mechanical, and electrical properties of Inkjet Organic films and their interfaces through analytical techniques. - Collaborate with display manufacturers to implement, validate, and realize Apple’s Industrial Design targets. Minimum Qualifications

M.S. or Ph.D. in Optics, EECS, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of gas/fluid dynamics, heat transfer, plasma physics, and expertise in modeling and simulation of Inkjet printer processes and equipment. Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulation, Thin Film Finite Element Analysis, or Chemical Interface Modeling. Understanding of fundamental physics behind targeting modeling methodology. Ability to characterize and calibrate using analytical tools such as TEM, EELS, XRD, AFM. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Effective technical debate and communication skills. At Apple, base pay is part of our total compensation, ranging from $147,400 to $220,900, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
