We're seeking a visionary event strategist who can build, execute, and scale a game-changing events program across our rapidly expanding network of innovative schools.
This isn't your typical event management role. You'll be the architect of unforgettable experiences that challenge conventions and capture imaginations. From conceptualization to execution, you'll create the blueprint for events that reflect our bold approach to education and drive our community growth.
As a key player working directly with senior leadership, you'll bridge marketing, admissions, and operations to orchestrate events that tell our story and fuel our expansion across 25+ markets.
What You Will Be Doing
Your mission includes:
Crafting and implementing a dynamic events strategy that propels our enrollment goals and strengthens our brand presence Developing innovative, scalable blueprints for signature events - from captivating TEDx-style showcases to immersive Shadow Days Orchestrating vendor relationships and resource management across our entire campus network Masterfully juggling 5-10 simultaneous events while ensuring flawless execution through real-time problem-solving Building and mentoring a high-performing team of staff and contractors to deliver consistent excellence at scale

Following someone else's predetermined event formula Operating within a rigid, micromanaged environment Burning through excessive budgets or defaulting to external agencies Producing uninspired, conventional school events that blur into the background
Head Of Event Operations Key Responsibilities
Your core mission is to architect and implement a robust, efficient, and scalable events ecosystem that enhances Alpha's brand presence and drives enrollment growth across all our campus locations.
Basic Requirements
Proven track record of 5+ years orchestrating end-to-end events with budgets ranging from $5K to $50K Portfolio of 10+ successfully executed professional events with demonstrable impact Demonstrated ability to create and document operational systems from the ground up Expert-level negotiation skills and exceptional stakeholder management abilities Must be based in Austin or ready to relocate, with commitment to 75%+ on-site presence Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
Nice-to-have Requirements
Previous experience in educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, or startup environments Established connections within the Austin events and vendor community Proven expertise in financial management, including procurement and cost optimization Track record of successfully scaling event operations across multiple venues or regions

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
