JOB MISSION:

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the New Balance Data Science Center of Excellence. You will focus on maintaining and improving our MLOps pipelines to ensure our models are robust, scalable, and deliver continuous value to the business.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITES:

Maintain and enhance MLOps pipelines, ensuring efficient model versioning, experiment tracking, and deployment processes across multiple environments. Build and maintain feature and data monitoring systems to ensure data quality and consistency over time. Develop model monitoring and alerting systems to detect model drift and performance degradation. Set up automated retraining pipelines to keep models updated and aligned with business needs. Collaborate closely with data scientists and data engineers to productionize models efficiently and reliably.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

3+ years of experience as an ML Engineer or as a Software Engineer with relevant experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning systems. Expert proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience with cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred), Databricks, and Snowflake. Familiarity with MLFlow or similar experiment tracking and model registry tools. Solid understanding of MLOps best practices, including CI/CD for ML, Git-based workflows, monitoring, and pipeline orchestration. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
