Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled
SAP ABAP Competency Lead
to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading ABAP development efforts, mentoring junior developers, managing project deliveries, and ensuring high-quality coding standards across the team. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the SAP ABAP development team across multiple projects
Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms (RICEFW)
Drive solution architecture and technical design for SAP ABAP development across modules (MM, SD, FICO, PP, etc.)
Provide expert-level support in debugging and performance tuning of ABAP programs
Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and coding standards
Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Guide and mentor junior ABAP developers and conduct code reviews
Participate in project planning, estimation, and status reporting
Support S/4HANA migration or implementation projects, if applicable
Technical Skills:
Strong command over Classical and Object-Oriented ABAP
Proficiency in RICEF: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (SAP Script/SmartForms/Adobe)
Experience with ALE/IDocs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, BDC, and LSMW
Familiarity with SAP Fiori, OData, and CDS Views is a plus
Knowledge of S/4HANA ABAP programming techniques (AMDP, CDS, etc.) preferred
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
