one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled
Fleet Maintenance Manager . The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles such as Class 8 trucks and trailers, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. This is an on-site position. The role may involve travel up to 50%. We are considering candidates within the following areas: South Windsor, CT Bayport, NY Joppa, MD Washington DC New Jersey Compensation:
Competitive Salary -
Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range: $85,000-100,000 DOE with additional bonus incentives. Benefits: Full benefits within 30 days Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance 401(k) match program Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time Boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement Career and learning development through Amerit University Employee referral bonus up to $1,000 ASE certification program with reimbursement and bonus Employee recognition platform with merchandise redemption Employee assistance program (EAP) 24/7 nurse triage line Discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets Employee resource groups (ERGs) Wellness and fitness programs Laptop and/or cellphone provision Responsibilities Lead, educate, and develop employees Monitor employee performance and maintain accessibility across the shop Oversee multiple shop operations Plan daily manpower to meet workload demands Support operations team with equipment issues Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies Handle administrative tasks such as payroll approval, repair order maintenance, and compliance documentation Address corrective actions for team members Maintain safe working conditions for staff and equipment Communicate with clients to meet operational needs Monitor and coordinate outside repairs Conduct pre-shift meetings Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies Participate in hiring for shop positions Qualifications At least 2 years' industry experience in fleet maintenance or operations and 5-8 years of management experience Technician/mechanic experience High school diploma or equivalent Familiarity with heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance (contract dependent) Experience with refrigerated cargo units (contract dependent) Willingness to travel as needed across multiple locations Knowledge of DOT rules, company policies, and procedures Proven leadership and interpersonal skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency in Word, Excel, Fleet Management systems, and ERP/timekeeping systems
