Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Perfusionists to support the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center located at 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday with on-call duties. Acceptance of employment implies acknowledgment that schedules may change at the discretion of Ansible or its clients.

Responsibilities
Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with bypass surgeries and valve replacements. Perform onsite perfusion services for eligible veteran beneficiaries as authorized by the Captain James A. Lovell VAMC. Prepare and operate heart-lung machines/pumps, maintaining a sterile environment and blood volume to prevent shock or air embolism. Assemble supplies and equipment for patients on extracorporeal circulation, especially in emergencies. Maintain and operate VA-owned equipment, including the heart-lung machine, intra-aortic balloon pump, and ventricular assist devices. Qualifications
Degree in perfusion from a VA-approved program (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in the US or Canada, accredited by CAAHEP or RQualTM Canada. Post-baccalaureate certificate in perfusion from an accredited program. Full, unrestricted license to practice in any US state, territory, or district. Graduate of an accredited Allied health program in Perfusion Technology; certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Experience with open-heart surgery, heart-lung machines, ECMO, bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ventricular assist devices. Active certification as a Perfusionist and current certification documentation. Active AHA BLS certification. No sponsorship available. Physical Requirements
Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach overhead during shifts. Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, 20 lbs regularly, carry up to 40 lbs, and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
