Mid Data Engineer

Job Responsibilities: Designs, implements, and operates data management systems for intelligence needs. Designs data storage, access, usage, integration, and management across various data regimes and digital systems. Collaborates with data users to create and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems. Plans, designs, and optimizes data throughput and query performance. Participates in selecting backend database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, HPC), configuring and utilizing them, and optimizing data pipelines to support content, volume, ETL, and query responsiveness. Supports defense analytical requirements, including scientific/engineering research, capability analysis, reverse engineering, and vulnerability assessments. Analyzes complex electronic systems and subsystems related to electric power, microelectronics, hardware, sensors, guidance, signals, electromagnetic, EO/IR, and related areas. Requirements: At least 8 years of relevant analysis experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years. Strong mission knowledge and skills, with completion of all relevant training and experience. Ability to communicate complex and technical information effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Ability to collaborate with other intelligence community members on information sharing and analytic disputes. Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Security Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with CI POLY or ability to obtain it. Location: Washington, DC (DIA HQ).
