$56.25/yr - $173,000.00/yr Meta is seeking experienced Audio Software Engineers and Applied Scientists to join our product teams. As a member of our team, you will help build new features and improve existing products like Messenger, Video, Groups, News Feed, Search, AR/VR, GenAI, and more. You will have the opportunity to solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems and contribute to the development of innovative audio technologies that will connect the next billion people.As an Audio Software Engineer or Applied Scientist at Meta, you will be part of a team that is working to redefine the way people work, play, and connect. Software Engineer, Audio Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, research, engineering, and other disciplines, to deploy new audio technologies and develop audio software solutions Research, design, and develop advanced audio processing algorithms, frameworks, and technologies to deliver best-in-class quality across various platforms Design, develop, integrate, optimize, and debug software solutions for various platforms, including real-time AR and VR audio software, Android systems, and consumer devices Contribute to roadmap planning for next-generation platforms and optimize software solutions for efficient and effective research Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, and approach problem-solving with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta 2+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD degree +9 months of experience Audio software engineering experience Experience programming with C or C++, including use of C++11/14/17 features
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with audio stack including codecs, audio capture/render, and network compensation/jitter buffer Experience with cross-stack development Experience being customer focused Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents Expertise in audio signal processing and auditory perception, both classical and machine learned techniques Experience with GenAI 2+ years of industrial experience with development of software systems including audio software for video conferencing or other real-time communication applications
