Communications System Engineer

We are seeking a full-time Communications Engineer, and a full-time Project Manager. Provide Communication Engineering and project management support services to support the design, procurement, construction, installation and testing of the high voltage substations. Sr. Communication Engineer is responsible for all fiber optic communication cables inside and outside of TPSS; including the automatic control monitoring system of the substation that shall be interfaced with SCADA and OCC via FO communication cables and related communication activities. Sr Communications Engineer Perform Field Visits and conduct Field Inspections Coordinate BART Traction Power (TP) Engineering and BART TP Maintenance efforts Coordinate project team efforts with BART Communications, Computer, and Security groups and BART OCC. Technical review comments Change Notice and Change Order documents RFI responses Field survey and inspection reports Project Management Support Weekly & Monthly project update reports. Work location will be Bart Headquarters located at 2150 Webster St, Oakland, CA. This role is eligible for hybrid (3 days in office) based on BART PM’s schedule. Seniority level
