Under general supervision, this position assists physicians and providers with general or specialized medical duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. Additionally, as a Limited X-Ray Technician, this role performs diagnostic X-rays within licensure for patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy under the radiologist's supervision. Responsibilities include producing high-quality images with correct anatomical markers, gathering pertinent patient information, and submitting studies for interpretation. The technician uses EMR systems like IDX, Allscripts, GE-RIS, and GE-PACS for scheduling, documentation, and image verification. Other duties involve rooming patients, consulting with providers, managing phones and documentation, stocking supplies, and handling darkroom responsibilities. The role also requires responding to medical emergencies and participating in codes, along with other assigned duties. Qualifications
Education and Experience (Required):
High school Diploma or GED Graduate of a recognized vocational school At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant/Limited X-Ray Tech in an ambulatory care setting Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Windows Knowledge of GE RIS and PACS systems Preferred:
Associate or Bachelors degree in healthcare-related field Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems Bilingual or multilingual skills Licenses and Certifications:
Completion certificate from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training XT X-Ray Permit for torso, extremity, chest, and digital imaging MA Certification Current CPR certification Additional Information
