Job Description: The RCO External Programs Manager leads efforts to monitor, support, and oversee revenue managed by revenue cycle offices located outside of Intermountain Health. This role contributes to the overall health of enterprise vendor partnerships while collaborating with the Enterprise Executive Team and building strong relationships with our joint venture partners to deploy Intermountain Health's metric tracking strategy. This includes implementing a metrics framework and supporting ongoing operational effectiveness across partnerships. These external revenue cycle offices include third party billers performing services on behalf of Intermountain Health (IMH), as well as non-affiliated healthcare entities within the Community Connect Program. This role collaborates across internal and external organizations to engage key stakeholders to resolve critical issues. Essential Functions Establishes, implements, and enforces Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting and performance expectations with external revenue cycle entities including third party billers (TPB’s) and Joint Venture organizations operating independently from Intermountain Health

Manages performance of external entities by monitoring metrics, resolving issues contributing to performance level concerns, and reporting results to Intermountain Leadership

Manages activities with co-providers and billing entities required to support compliance with the No Surprises Act

As the primary point of contact, subject matter expert, and relationship owner, coordinates all activities, issues, and communications between external entities and Revenue Cycle Intermountain business owners and caregivers as needed

Supports Community Connect client operations by coordinating build and implementation activities for new go-lives and providing on-going operational support to external revenue cycle clients pursuing revenue cycle operational excellence

Plans and manages activities for RCO caregivers performing community connect implementation and support activities using project management principles and best practices

As the primary point of contact for Intermountain Revenue Cycle Organization, understands Community Connect clients’ revenue cycle performance and pain points and collaborates with key stakeholders to proactively address identified issues

Supports revenue cycle operational change management activities in collaboration with the Community Connect implementation

Physical Requirements: Qualifications Required Demonstrated experience in a healthcare revenue cycle function

Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations.

Demonstrated experience utilizing Electronic Health Record system

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office.

Demonstrated success in a role requiring data analysis and data measurement skills.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in project management, data analytics, healthcare administration or related field from an accredited institution. Education is verified.

Certification in Project Management

Expertise in Epic Revenue Cycle Management

Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.

Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts.

For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
