Experience designing and fabricating an ASIC
ASIC design and architecture experience
Strong proficiency in RTL coding (Verilog or VHDL), ASIC design flow, and EDA tools
Expert in processor architectures
Cross-functional leadership in designing and fabricating RISC-V ASIC SoC
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Lead a cross-functional team comprising hardware engineers, software developers, and verification engineers to guide the definition, design, simulation, fabrication, and iteration of a RISC-V Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) System on a Chip (SoC) product for defense and commercial applications based on our client's secure RISC-V CPU.
Act as the primary technical interface with pilot customers, the internal engineering team, and external subcontracted specialists to outline and document product features, use cases, and functional requirements.
Oversee the completion and maintenance of the microarchitecture definition along with associated documentation, including the ASIC specification, performance requirements, and verification plans covering I/O, power consumption, area, cost, and security functionality.
Develop and lead the implementation of an extensive verification strategy, incorporating testbench development, and performance evaluations to ensure a high likelihood of first-pass success.
Stay abreast of emerging ASIC technologies and design methodologies for possible in the development process.
Strategically plan and schedule a product roadmap by prioritizing technical features aligning with market timing and competitive edge.
Break down the product plan into manageable, actionable tasks, ensuring effective tracking, design reviews, and team demonstrations.
Identify and collaborate with strategic partners to enhance the development, marketing, and sustainment of the product for extending internal capabilities.
