Summary Of Job Duties
The Director of Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Operations serves as an assistant to the Head Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Coach, assisting with the overall administration of the women’s track and field/cross country programs. They will be responsible for coordinating all day-to-day operations for the Women's Track & Field/Cross Country program, to include on-campus recruitment efforts, expense reports, communicating with student-athletes, coordinating team travel and logistics, practice calendars, academics, compliance issues, certifications, scholarships, etc. This position will also be involved in assisting with the management of home track & field/cross country competitions.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
At least three years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education, competitive participation, training, and work experience
Preferred Qualifications: Prior working experience as a Director of Operations at the collegiate level
At least one year of experience with Track & Field/Cross Country either as a collegiate, professional or club athlete, coach, or administrator
Experience in small event management
Working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of NCAA, SEC, and University policies and procedures
Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
Exceptional organizational, decision-making, problem-solving skills
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds and effectively interact with high energy, intense personalities
