The Senior Director of AI, Data and Optimization leads the development of a modern, AI-driven data and personalization platform. This platform will deliver real-time insights, advanced testing, and hyper-personalized experiences across the customer lifecycle. This role acts as the AI/Data strategist and product owner for Visa’s marketing data & AI ecosystem, collaborating with Insights & Analytics, Regional Marketing teams, Sales, IT, and the Chief Data Office to ensure the platform is scalable, governed, and adopted across the organization. Responsibilities
Define the vision, roadmap, and execution plan for a unified, AI-powered data and analytics platform supporting measurement, journey optimization, research, and personalization. Serve as the product owner for the marketing AI, data, and insights platform, aligning with business needs. Partner with IT and the Chief Data Office to design platform components, integrate data sources, and establish governance, privacy, and compliance protocols. Lead the development of capabilities including AI transformation, real-time customer profiling, journey orchestration, advanced analytics, testing, predictive modeling, and content optimization. Enable hyper-personalization and real-time interactions across digital channels using AI and machine learning. Collaborate with regional marketing, global campaign teams, and analytics to translate business needs into platform features. Build and lead a high-performing team across data science, analytics, engineering, and optimization. Cultivate a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making. Provide tools, training, and self-service capabilities for cross-functional teams. Monitor and report on platform performance, business impact, and ROI to leadership. This is a hybrid role with in-office days to be confirmed by your manager. Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or marketing field; Master’s or PhD preferred. 15+ years in data, analytics, or marketing technology leadership, with at least 5 years in senior roles. 5+ years deep experience with AI, including ML, GenAI, and Agents, with a focus on business applications. Proven success in building and deploying data and AI platforms supporting customer analytics, personalization, and enterprise intelligence. Deep knowledge of real-time data orchestration, journey analytics, and advanced testing methodologies. Experience with modern data and marketing tools such as CDPs, journey orchestration, experimentation platforms, analytics, attribution, AI platforms, and visualization tools. Strong collaboration skills with marketing, sales, IT, and data governance teams. Ability to enable and train teams, ensuring broad adoption of platforms and analytics. Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders around platform vision. Hands-on, action-oriented approach with a passion for experimentation and customer-centric marketing.
