This role is based in our MSPCA-Angell Boston Adoption Center Community Clinic. The primary responsibilities include overseeing and coordinating spay/neuter and medical care services provided by the clinic. About the Clinic
Our animal clinic offers medical care to animals at the Boston Adoption Center, along with low-cost spay/neuter and outpatient veterinary care for animals of low-income pet owners. The MSPCA has the largest network of low-cost veterinary clinics in New England. The goal of our Community Clinics is to provide affordable, accessible care and help keep families and their pets together. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for clients, coordinating services offered at our MSPCA-Shelter Clinic. Assess financial need and approve veterinary services for pets of low-income owners. Coordinate complex medical cases with clients. Manage clinic workflow, schedule appointments, and facilitate animal intake and discharge. Collaborate with staff to assess and determine program needs. Support outreach events and activities. Compile and analyze statistics for reports and grant applications. Train and supervise volunteers to streamline clinic processes. Qualifications
At least one year of experience in an animal shelter, clinic, or similar environment. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. De-escalation skills with unhappy clients. Ability to work independently. Knowledge of dog and cat care, with a love for animals. Bilingual in Spanish is strongly encouraged.
