Visual Comfort & Co. Reporting directly to the Senior Brand Manager within the Marketing department, the Social Media Specialist is responsible for collaborating with the broader channel marketing and social media team. Duties include supporting the growth of our organic social presence across Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms; driving community development, content creation, and brand storytelling to foster meaningful engagement and awareness across channels; and supporting influencer campaigns along with paid social and marketing initiatives that advance our broader brand goals. This role requires someone who is adaptable, proactive, and eager to grow as our programs evolve.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive Pinterest and TikTok strategy to drive traffic, grow our following, and increase engagement through consistent publishing and content optimization Create and curate engaging and visually appealing content in collaboration for Pinterest, TikTok and other social channels as needed that reflect the Visual Comfort & Co. brand and resonates with our target audience Brief in content needs to creative team and support the development of social-first assets tailored to each platform Actively utilize platform analytics and insights to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement to drive performance in social channels Generating regular performance reports, monthly and ad-hoc, to inform stakeholders and strategy Support day-to-day community management, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, on-brand way Assist with the identification and coordination of influencer partnerships, including outreach, communication, and campaign support Provide support and alignment for marketing and paid social campaigns, ensuring organic and paid efforts are coordinated Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems. Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values. Must demonstrate commitment, dependability, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule. While being present in the workplace to effectively collaborate and communicate amongst co-workers and teams.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered Minimum of 2 years managing organic social media for a brand, with a strong emphasis on Pinterest; hands-on experience with Instagram and TikTok required Familiarity with Pinterest best practices, including pinning strategies, SEO optimization, and staying current with content trends Experience with influencer marketing, from partner identification through campaign execution and tracking Proficient with social media management tools such as Sprout Social, Later, or comparable platforms for scheduling, publishing, and analytics Basic photo and video editing skills preferred (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut) Interest or background in Interior Design, Real Estate, or a design-related industry is a plus Exceptional organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing priorities Strong communication skills across all platforms, including email, chat, and phone Proven ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $65,000
