We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for DNC, a critical technical leadership role responsible for engineering excellence, system integration, and compliance with modernization standards. The responsibilities include technical oversight, design validation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination to ensure project success. The Chief Engineer will oversee documentation, testing, risk mitigation, and field support. This position is contingent upon final contract award.
Job Requirements:
Technical Leadership & Oversight:
Serve as the technical authority for system upgrades, integrations, and engineering decisions; ensure alignment with ASOS Tri-Agency modernization goals and federal compliance; lead design, validation, and implementation of system solutions; review cloud architecture for modernization and security compliance. Engineering Design, Integration & Documentation:
Assist in designing, developing, and integrating ACU/DCP components; manage hardware-software compatibility; collaborate on documentation, including drawings and data; create a Site Technical Manual; develop modification and maintenance notes; document network and communication solutions; create operational SOPs for field deployment. Testing Support & Risk Management:
Provide engineering support during testing; oversee System Integration Testing, Acceptance Testing, and OT&E; ensure test plans meet specifications; identify and mitigate technical risks, maintaining the risk register. Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination:
Provide technical guidance to vendors; work with government project managers and engineers to align objectives; facilitate cross-team collaboration. Training, Logistics & Field Support:
Oversee deployment logistics; review training materials; provide field technical support for troubleshooting and implementation. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Conduct engineering analyses; review documentation; ensure designs meet standards and regulations; contribute to briefings and reports on engineering progress. Education & Experience:
