Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Application Architect with a deep background in Microsoft technologies to lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade B2B applications. This role involves overseeing multiple applications, collaborating with internal teams, and coordinating with third-party development service providers. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with a strong understanding of distributed systems, inter-application messaging, and enterprise integration patterns. You will shape the technical direction of new and existing solutions and ensure alignment with business goals, scalability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Lead architecture, design, and implementation of modern, scalable , and secure B2B enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies. Design robust inter-application messaging solutions. Lead technical decision-making and provide guidance to development teams , c ollaborate with product owners, business analysts, project managers, QA, UI/UX , and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Oversee application lifecycle , planning, design, development, deployment, DevOps processes , and ongoing support for custom-built applications. Oversee and provide technical guidance to IT development team s to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to design standards. Develop and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications. Establish and enforce best practicesfor cloud architecture, code design , integration, microservices, security, resiliency, and performance. Participate in code reviews and architecture governance processes. Ensure system reliability, high availability, and scalability in all technical solutions. Stay current on emerging Microsoft and Azure technologies to continuously modernize and improve our platforms. Document architecture artifactsusing modeling tools and internal wiki. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of total experience in software development with strong expertise in Microsoft technologies. 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Application Architect or equivalent role. Extensive experience with .NET Core /.NET Framework, C#, Web APIs, and cloud-native development. In-depth knowledge of Azure services, especially Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and App Services. Proven experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively work with stakeholders and manage local & remote teams. Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines). Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching , and performance tuning. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with B2B commerce platforms, EDI, or procurement technology. Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus. Prior experience in a hybrid development model. Experience working in a procurement or B2B services environment . Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines .
