Administrative Assistant Opportunities In Alexandria, Mn

Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading food production company in Alexandria, MN. We are seeking candidates for Administrative Assistant roles. Compensation for these opportunities is $20.00 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!

What an Administrative Assistant Will Do:

  • Provide administrative support to the plant manager and other team members
  • Greet visitors, determine the nature of their visit, and direct them appropriately
  • Answer and screen incoming calls and emails; retrieve and forward voicemail messages
  • Maintain a professional, welcoming office environment
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and reserve conference rooms
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare necessary itineraries
  • Review, prepare, and file documents, reports, invoices, and correspondence
  • Ensure proper approvals are in place before submitting vendor payments
  • Match invoices with receiving documents, code, and enter into Oracle
  • Receive and reconcile parts and supplies in Oracle; follow up on vendor discrepancies
  • Order and manage office supply inventory
  • Compile production data and reports using Excel
  • Support planning and coordination of internal events, career fairs, and department activities
  • Maintain confidentiality in all communications and recordkeeping
  • Follow company safety policies, including proper use of PPE as required

What You Need to Be an Administrative Assistant:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Oracle and Financial Statement Reporting (FSR) is a plus
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Positive attitude, team player mindset, and willingness to support wherever needed
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime when required
