Now Hiring: Equipment Operator Location: Alexandria, LA Pay: $18-20/hr Type: Full-Time We are looking for a skilled Equipment Operator with strong mechanical experience to join our team. This role involves operating a forklift, skid steer, and front-end loader, performing basic equipment maintenance, and supporting operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates must be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working at heights. Experience unloading barges is a strong plus. Key Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders Load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the facility Assist with unloading barges (experience strongly preferred) Perform routine mechanical work, including inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repairs Follow all site safety rules and regulations Conduct daily equipment inspections and document findings Work at elevated heights as needed (must not be afraid of heights) Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders Mechanical experience (diesel, hydraulic, or heavy equipment maintenance preferred) Must be comfortable working at heights Experience unloading barges is a plus Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Preferred Skills Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and repair Prior experience in industrial, port, marine, or yard operations Why You’ll Love This Role Competitive pay and consistent hours Safety Bonus Eligibility Hands-on work with a variety of equipment Opportunities to grow your mechanical and operator skills Supportive team environment with a strong focus on safety #J-18808-Ljbffr
