Senior Full Stack Engineer

to develop a petabyte‑scale, high‑performance observability platform. This role requires a laser focus on crafting an exceptional

Developer Experience (DX) , which is central to HyperDX. What You’ll Do:

Shape the Product:

Own and build critical features, focusing on both frontend and backend systems to streamline developer debugging and monitoring workflows. Engage with the Community:

Collaborate actively with open‑source contributors and customers, addressing their challenges and integrating feedback into the product roadmap. Tackle Technical Challenges:

Supercharge HyperDX performance to efficiently process petabytes of observability data at lightning speed. Unlock advanced analysis tools for engineers to resolve production issues rapidly, while scaling our cloud‑hosted platform for seamless, next‑level performance for our expanding customer base. Who You Are:

An expert

full stack JavaScript developer

proficient and passionate about both frontend and backend development. A creative problem‑solver who excels in fast‑paced environments. Driven to deliver features that provide tangible impact for customers. Eager to learn, push technological boundaries, and embrace new approaches. Passionate about software engineering. Able to move quickly and learn effectively from mistakes. Value the freedom to innovate with minimal interruption. What you bring:

5+ years of

software engineering experience , preferably building developer tools. Strong proficiency in

TypeScript

and

Node.js

(specifically Next.js frontend and Express backend). Strong proficiency in

React.js . Proficiency in

SQL

for query generation targeting ClickHouse. Experience with

Docker

and container orchestration platforms like

Kubernetes . A passion for

open source

and engaging with the developer community. Proven experience creating developer tooling and a keen eye for developer‑centric design. Bonus Points:

Expertise in

distributed systems

and event ingestion pipelines. Experience working with

columnar databases . Strong opinions on observability tools and a vision for significant improvement (10x better). Familiarity with additional languages like Python, Rust, or PHP for building integrations. Experience developing SDKs. Compensation

For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. A premium market range may apply in specific locations, including Los Angeles, CA, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, the Seattle, WA, Area, and the New York City Metro Area, as listed.
