ANTICIPATED VACANCY Travel Camp Supervisor
Dates:
July 6 – Aug 14, 2026 (M-F)
Commitment:
Includes additional pre/post-camp prep work.
Hours:
Approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Subject to change based on daily itinerary).
Group Size:
40–47 campers.
Responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to:
Works in conjunction with the program director as needed before, during and following the end of the camp season
Assists as needed with staff interviews
Creates camper groupings prior to the start of camp
Coordinates and supervises all field trips
Develops staffng schedules
Handles parent inquiries and concerns
Assists with the parent and staff orientation meetings
Directly oversees the travel camp counselors and campers
Manages the drop off and pick up of campers
Checks in with the assistant supervisor regularly during all trips
Supervises campers during early care and/or after care
Completes performance evaluations of staff following the end of camp
Reports issues, concerns, challenges to the program director

The official 2026 schedule is currently in development and is subject to change.
The requirements for this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:
SBL/SDL Certification and/or New York State teaching certification
Camp experience and/or experience working with children
Leadership experience
Ability to commit fully to the entire program
First Aid/CPR/AED training preferred
