Responsibilities The Section of Infectious Diseases in the Division of Public Health, Infectious Diseases and Occupational Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking a board certified/board eligible academic infectious disease physician. Our division has an interest in recruiting a physician with multiple facets of expertise who will join our growing collaborative subspecialty practices. Candidates with expertise or interest in infections in immune compromised hosts such as hematology/oncology patients are preferred, as is background in medical informatics or artificial intelligence.
The Section of Infectious Diseases is comprised of more than 35 physicians providing expertise in over 10 different focus areas of infectious diseases. Mayo Clinic is a renowned tertiary care center involved in the management of infectious diseases in patients referred from locations around the nation and worldwide. The division supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship in general infectious diseases and two non-accredited advanced fellowships in Orthopedic and Transplant Infectious Diseases.
Responsibilities of the recruited physician may include participation in inpatient consultative services, outpatient infectious diseases clinics, telemedicine consultations, and activities in medical informatics or population health.
Qualifications Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Infectious Diseases.
Ability to obtain and hold a Minnesota medical license.
Exemption Status Exempt
Compensation Detail The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $202,000 to $663,207. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
