Acute Home Healthcare is looking for a passionate individual who is looking to join the team of a growing 5 star agency. We are looking for a Director of Nursing to assist us in continuing to be the most trusted home healthcare agency in Central Florida.
Position Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees all clinical operations and ensures the highest standards of nursing care are delivered to our home health patients. This leadership role involves supervising nursing and clinical staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, promoting quality improvement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall direction and supervision of clinical services to ensure quality patient care.
Manage and support nursing and clinical staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures.
Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized patient care plans.
Participate in case conferences, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care.
Review and approve clinical documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain current knowledge of home health regulations, standards of practice, and clinical best practices.
Provide leadership in accreditation and survey readiness.
Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
Licensure:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.

Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive Home Health nursing management experience.
Strong understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation and home health regulatory standards.
Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
