What You Will Do Our Client needs a Standards Engineer to plan and develop North American Facility Standards.
Responsibilities of the project / standards engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
Develop, review and update facility / construction standards and specifications related to mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural systems.
Collaborate with design, planning, manufacturing and projects teams for completion of standards and specifications.
Monitor industry trends, global trends and current/past building issues. Update standards and specifications as needed.
Manage multiple standards simultaneously to ensure quick completion.
Provide guidance on standards to Our Client's teams.
Document and maintain records related to standards and specifications.
Basics
Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field).
Level of experience: 5-10 years.
Proven experience in standards development, engineering implementation or quality assurance (5+ years preferred).
Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, ASHREA, IBC, NFPA, etc.).
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, BluBeam, or other PDF editing software.
Preferred
Experience with construction standards and specifications.
Proficiency with standards management software or tools.
