Engineering Manager - In-store Payment – Remote-First Product & Engineering & Ex
European Payments Initiative, Sauk Trail Beach, Wisconsin, United States
Be part of a movement to change the way Europe pays
In today’s digital world, payments often still feel outdated: random delays and confusing rules make it harder than it should be to pay and get paid. The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is here to change all that, forever.
With Wero, our digital wallet, we make sending and receiving money simple, seamless and secure across France, Belgium and Germany, with more countries and omnichannel solutions coming soon. Supported by 14 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI is building a new, proudly European payment system: easy, instant and transparent, all for the greater good.
What's in it for you We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the development of a new In-store payment solution. You’ll spend more or less 50% of your time close to the code, writing, reviewing, mentoring, improving CI/CD, and shaping architecture. You’ll define the technical roadmap, drive scalable delivery, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team.
About the team You’ll be part of a fully remote Pan-European Product and Engineering team that operates in an Agile environment. Your team is cross-functional, with experts in Product Design, iOS development, Android development and backend engineering. They are located across Europe, in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and other countries.

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to boost team productivity, code quality, and delivery speed
Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Mentor and coach team members, support their career development, and contribute to recruiting and retaining top talent
