Project Scanning Associate - Temp Role (Lincoln, NE 68510) ScanScape visits a variety of stores to collect product information. Project Scanning Associates scan barcodes in designated areas to assess, compare, and improve product and store performance.

Opportunity in retail with workplace independence, hour flexibility, job consistency, and physical activity.

What does a Project Scanning Associate do?

Temporary, part‑time data collection at local retailers for a special annual project. Store types include grocery, drug, and mass merchandise. Major brand retailers: Walmart, Kroger, Hannaford, Target, Albertsons, Walgreens, and small independent stores.

Each associate receives paid virtual training and uses a downloadable app on a personal device to scan barcodes with the phone camera in stocked locations throughout each store. Average 20‑35 hours per week depending on store size and project requirements. Thoroughness and timeliness are critical to deliver quality data.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Available to start by January 18th and work each week through March.

Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.

Can lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.

Repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.

Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Reliable transportation with minimum state auto insurance coverage if driving.

May need to travel up to 1 hour to complete the project in other locations.
