R11453**Job Summary**We have an exciting role for a Process Control/Electrical Engineer at the Gibson City Protein Solutions site in Gibson City, Illinois.

The site manufactures plant protein ingredients for energy bars and meat alternative foods. The Process Control Engineer role acts as a technical resource to maintain and improve the site’s controls and electrical infrastructure.

You will apply technical skills to optimize plant operations and lead capital projects to improve the site.Gibson City is in beautiful central Illinois.

It is close to great outdoor recreation and is near the Champaign/Urbana metro area – home of the University of Illinois – and the Bloomington/Normal metro area.**Job Responsibilities:*** Use fundamental engineering principles and concepts to lead troubleshooting of plant electrical and controls issues, and coach others to learn these skills.* Identify, design and implement process control improvements including migrations to newer platforms.* Network with other engineers on site and with Subject Matter Experts within the business to leverage technical knowledge.* Participate in the site minor capital prioritization process and management process.* Understand all applicable electrical equipment and control technology.* Be responsible for programming and altering many types of PLC’s, HMI’s, PID loop controllers, ASD’s, and other control devices.* Provide technical advice to plant personnel to support operations to meet Business and plant goals.

(EH&S, Production, cost, quality, energy, reliability, sustainability).* Implement best design practices to optimize operations.* Champion electrical safety – including electrical procedure usage, creation, reviews, updates and approvals.**Job Requirements*** Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering is preferred.* 3 years of experience as an Engineer in a Chemical Processing/Food/Mining plant or engineering firm preferred* Ability to lead multiple projects/tasks and drive projects to completion with strong operability to support reliable, high-quality production.* Knowledge of PLC systems and HMI systems. Well versed in the rules and regulation relating to the implementation and best practices in electrical system design and implementation. NEC, UL, CSA, and TUV. NFPA 79 Specification, NFPA 70e Specification, ANSI and IEC Electrical symbols, Grounding and shielding of electrical systems.* Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
