Amazon's Softlines Private Brands (SPB) team is seeking an exceptional Sr. Business Manager to own and scale the Amazon Essentials Women's Apparel business based in Seattle, WA. This role will manage a high-growth, multi-million dollar P&L within our NA SPB organization, driving strategic vision and operational excellence for one of Amazon's most visible private brand portfolios.

As the Women's Apparel Business Manager, you will be the end-to-end owner of your category's financial performance, product strategy, customer experience, and operational health. You'll balance challenging growth targets with profitability goals while navigating complex trade‑offs across pricing, inventory, selection, and customer satisfaction. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution; you'll set the vision and roll up your sleeves to make it happen.

Key Job Responsibilities

Develop and execute annual strategic plans (OP1/OP2) with clear financial targets and strategic initiatives

Conduct monthly business reviews (MBRs) with senior leadership, presenting performance, insights, and action plans

Lead cross‑functional teams to launch strategic initiatives (e.g., new category expansions, optimize current portfolio)

Analyze competitive landscape and market trends to identify growth opportunities

Make high‑judgment decisions on resource allocation across competing priorities

Drive process improvements to scale operations efficiently as the business grows

Mentor and develop junior team members and cross‑functional partners

A Day in the Life

Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Track daily sales, inventory health, pricing competitiveness, and customer metrics; conduct weekly deep‑dives into performance drivers and emerging issues

Cross‑Functional Coordination: Partner daily with Product Development (launch approvals), In‑Stock Management (inventory prioritization), Marketing (promotional calendar), Finance (forecast updates), and vendors (capacity/quality issues)

Monthly Business Reviews: Prepare and present MBRs to senior leadership with performance analysis, root‑cause insights, and forward‑looking action plans; conduct product performance reviews to identify launch winners and deprecation candidates

Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead planning cycles, manage seasonal assortment planning with vendors, drive strategic initiatives (creator collaborations, new categories), and troubleshoot urgent issues (quality complaints, out‑of‑stocks, viral social media concerns)

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Experience with end to end product delivery

Experience as a product manager or owner

Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
