The client operates in a data‑intensive environment where transforming raw data into actionable insights is critical for business decision‑making.
To accelerate insight generation related to tariff methodologies and regulatory requirements, a Senior BI Consultant is required to strengthen the data analytics and engineering capabilities.
The role focuses on preparing, structuring, and integrating data so it can be effectively used by data analysts and data scientists, in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
Requirements
Select, validate, clean, and structure raw data from multiple data sources Design, build, and maintain ETL and data preparation pipelines Integrate and format datasets for analytical and reporting use cases Collaborate with business experts responsible for data sources and domain knowledge Support data analysts and data scientists by delivering high‑quality, reliable datasets Contribute to the industrialisation of data science models Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer of delivered solutions Support reporting and insight generation where required Required Skills & Expertise
Must Have
Strong experience as a BI Consultant Strong experience as a Data Analyst and/or Data Engineer Proven experience with data management and ETL processes Hands‑on experience with Databricks Experience with ETL in a data science context Experience with industrialising data science models Knowledge of tariff methodologies in a regulated environment Dutch language proficiency at CEFR C2 level Nice to Have / Should Have
Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools Experience with requirements analysis Experience in the Belgian energy sector Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills High attention to data quality and accuracy Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders Ability to work independently and collaboratively Structured and results‑oriented mindset
