Position Overview The Construction Project Manager will provide
office-based project management support
with
occasional field visits
to ensure that project schedules, contractor coordination, and client communications are executed smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing several concurrent residential infill projects at various stages of development.
Key Responsibilities Office-Based Project Management (Primary Duty)
Maintain overall project schedules and update stakeholders weekly on progress, bottlenecks, and upcoming milestones.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and permitting offices to keep work flowing without delays.
Respond promptly to client emails regarding project status, design coordination, anticipated timelines, and change management.
Assist with procurement, contract administration, and documentation, including RFI tracking, submittal review, and meeting notes.
Verify compliance with project specifications, permitting requirements, and residential construction best practices.
Maintain internal project dashboards, budgets, and reporting tools.
Field Support (Occasional Site Visits)
Visit job sites periodically to verify progress, identify issues early, and ensure contractors are performing work to standard.
Capture site photos and create concise field reports for internal and client use.
Confirm site conditions align with plans, especially when coordinating BMP Stormwater Management work, utility connections, and inspections.
Work with superintendents or field leads (if applicable) to resolve on‑site challenges that may impact schedule or cost.
Qualifications
2–5+ years of construction project management experience; residential experience strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Northern Virginia permitting, inspections, and local site development practices is a strong plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with homeowners and clients.
Proficiency with project management, scheduling software and Microsoft office.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
