Bayhealth is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine physicians for ongoing (primarily) overnight locum coverage across multiple emergency departments in Delaware, including hospital-based and freestanding EDs.
This is a high-acuity, EPIC-based system with consistent needs and the opportunity to work across multiple sites each week.

Minimum Commitment: 5 shifts per month
Shift Coverage: Monday Sunday (overnights only)

Smyrna Freestanding ED: 7p 7a
Route 9 Freestanding ED (Sussex): 7p 7a
Kent Hospital ED: 9p 7a
Sussex Hospital ED: 9p 7a
Physicians must be comfortable covering all four sites and may work at multiple locations during the same week.

Annual ED Volume Range: 19 400
Smyrna & Route 9: Solo physician coverage overnight
Kent: Physician until 1am, APC until 7am
Sussex: Physician until midnight, APC until 4am
Board Certified Emergency Medicine only (ABEM or AOBEM)
Comfortable with overnight solo coverage
Able to complete charts within 72 hours
Willing to submit availability 3 months in advance
Flu vaccine required (COVID not required)
IMLC candidates accepted
Licensing candidates considered
Consistent overnight demand with long-term stability

Mix of hospital and freestanding ED experience
