Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician Midlothian, VA
Location: Midlothian, VA
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient (Clinic + Hospital Coverage)
We are seeking a Locum Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to provide coverage for a high-risk OB team. This role offers a collaborative environment with advanced fetal medicine services and a Level III nursery.
Schedule:
Clinic: Mon Fri, 8:00a 4:15p
Call: Weekday evenings + 24-hour weekend call
Responsibilities:
Manage high-risk pregnancies ( 95% of practice)
Perform advanced procedures: Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villus Sampling, cerclage (preferred)
Monitor pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, genetic disorders, congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, and other maternal/fetal complications
Provide inpatient coverage at hospital
Collaborate with one other MFM physician and rotating NP
Practice Details:
Average patients/day: 27
Support staff: RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, front office team
Exam rooms: 3
Ultrasound: Onsite GE 10
EMR: EPIC & Viewpoint
Requirements:
Board Certified / Board Eligible MFM
Completed Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Active VA License
BLS required, AIUM Certification preferred
Travel & Expenses:
Flight, hotel, rental car, mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates
