Seeking a Locum Medical Oncologist for ASAP coverage at a busy outpatient cancer center in Grand Rapids, MI . The role primarily focuses on lung cancer , with some general/benign hematology support, and offers strong APP and specialty support.

Adult and geriatric patient population
Practice mix: 60% Hematology 40% Oncology
Primary focus on lung cancer
Supported by 6 physicians and 10 APPs (inpatient and outpatient)
Chemotherapy administered by Nurse Oncologists
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level II facility
ASAP start
Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Call: 1 in 5
Weekday evenings: telephone only
Weekends: rounding with APP support
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days
Outpatient: 8 16 patients/day
Inpatient rounding census: 22 patients across 2 hospitals
Includes 4 5 new patients/day
Tumor Board participation
Orders tests and imaging
Prescribes medications
FNA/Biopsy experience required
Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology REQUIRED
Active MI license highly preferred (providers needing to obtain will be reviewed)
BLS REQUIRED
